She sided with the people, in the face of protest, like Representatives are elected to do. The great thing about Linda is that she rejects special interest groups and stands for her constituency. Without the help of parties, PACs or corporations, Parks needs the support of average Americans to stand up to "business as usual" in DC and on WallStreet.
--Steven Kong, Republican
I am supporting Linda Parks for Congress because she balances economic growth principles with protection of quality of life issues. My observation has been that Linda thinks through the pros and cons of each issue and comes up with balanced solutions, instead of practicing partisan, "party-line" politics. Send a message to Washington and California, and send Linda to Congress.
--Scott Tesar, Republican
For three reasons: -She was an original supporter of SOAR- no other single thing has better preserved the quality of life in Ventura County. -I have had the opportunity to speak with Linda and correspond by e-mail. I find her refreshingly honest, open & responsive - even when we do not agree. From other candidates I get their stump spiel, from Linda I get a conversation. - I continue to be turned off by the "Party-Picked" candidates whose best attribute is the ability to raise money-rather than issues. How can they not be beholden to the supplier of their backing, rather than the best interests of us folks?
--Albert Stroberg, Independent
She's got the best of both parties within her, and leaves the puppet strings behind. She's the best hope of this county in terms of smarts, tenacity, and integrity - and she's consistently the most proven(and tested!) performer of the pack. It's time to vote the talk - send Linda!
--William Pratt, Vice President Operations, Democrat
She is the only one of the candidates who is in a position to make a difference in changing the process of a dysfunctional Congress. She can vote her conscience because she is not beholden to either party or PACs. We need more like her!
--Alan Ungar, Independent
She is truly independent and fair minded candidate with environmental concerns,
--Sy Einstoss, Electronic Engineer, Democrat
I'm a liberal but none of the Democrats in the race will be able to change anything in Washington. Linda gives our district an opportunity to have a great impact at the national level.
--Kevin Young, Democrat
She is her own person. No Corporate backing. She doesn't tow the line for either party. She is the change that her opponents are afraid to be.
--Rene Ruston, Realtor, Independent
I'm the former Mayor of Malibu and worked with Linda on occassion. It's time for a centrist in Washington.
--Sharon Barovsky, Democrat
She has made all the right decisions for Thousand Oaks and Ventura County.
--Carl Maida, Professor UCLA, Democrat
Over my many years of knowing Linda Parks, she has consistently worked for the good of the county and local communities. She doesn't run for office because it's about Linda, she runs because it's about us.
--Mark Burley, Democrat
She is nonpartisan and cares about her constituents.
--Meredith Bullock
Linda is fiscally conservative, shown by her record on Thousand Oaks City Council and Ventura County Board of Supervisors. She is not obligated financially nor intellectually to the extreme ideology of the left or the right. She is receptive to new ideas and innovative thinking, evaluated with a rational concern for people and our Constitutional government. We need her willingness to work with everyone, in Washington.
--Tom Ritch, Republican
She is a woman of ethics and intelligence who works for consensus. I've watched Linda work for the citizens of Ventura County and appreciate her dedication.
--F. Warren Lovell, M.D., Retired Medical Examiner of Ventura County, Democrat
Linda's rejection of special interest money in her campaign is a big reason we must send her to Congress! She won\'t be beholden to anyone other than the residents. The fact that both political parties are attacking her only stresses the need to vote for Linda Parks!
--Claudia Bill-de la Peña, Mayor Pro Tem Thousand Oaks, Independent
I appreciate Linda's integrity and independence. I agree that the current level of partisan politics is detrimental and destructive. It's important to support candidates like Linda who will not be influenced by special interests.
--Gayle Washburn, Mayor Filmore, Independent
I've never before publicly endorsed any candidate for public office, and being a Conservative Republican, I wouldn't have considered an Independent candidate, either. Now we have Linda Parks running for Congress, someone who has the kind of accomplishment and reputation on the Board of Supervisors that I would have hoped to find in a Republican -- fiscal responsibility, a problem solver, responsive to her constituents and honest. This year It's my pleasure to recommend Linda Parks for Congress, 26th District.
--Ray Hogue, Republican
We need a fresh face in congress that is not beholden to corporatists.
--Bruce Cohen, Democrat
I support Linda because I believe she will restore NASA, and help to restore our economy and end gridlock in Washington.
--Michael Shaw, Student, Independent
I've been on the Mental Health Board with Linda Parks, and i can tell you that she doesn't just sit there. She doesn't just look at the surface, either. She is a person who really thinks about things and then comes up with good ideas - and keeps those good ideas circulating so that people can work together. That's the kind of representation I want at every level of government! I also like the fact that she doesn't get emotional and say stupid things like some other candidates, but she just expresses authentic feelings that help the rest of us express ourselves better. We need more of that in this nation. Linda's good and I plan to vote for her.
--Dr. Rebecca Faye Hall
I have faith that she will look out for the best intrest of her constituents and not buy into the whole do as your party says mentality. I will help Linda anyway I can stuffing envlopes even though I am house bound as I truly believe she is the best candidate for this important position!
-- Joel Hernandez, Democrat
She has experience working in government and we share similar views on several issues.
--Margaret Lee, Independent
She has been our local representative for Ventura county. She is fair, truthful, an extreamly hard work but mostly she delivers what she says she will deliver. We hate to loose her localy but we can't wait to see her in congress working for us in a bigger better way.
--Deborah Tibbetts, Democrat
She cares about the people she represents. Linda is the protector of our open spaces and the BEST PERSON to be be sent to Congress.
--Dale and Dan Waingrow, Democrat and Republican
In this time of few moderates we need people who put nation ahead of party
-- Christian Jauregui, Independent
I got to meet her and sit near her at the senior conference. I liked her friendly personality
-- Ralph Armstrong, Republican.
In so many ways Linda has worked to save our environment and our beautiful farm land.
Joan Edwards, Democrat
Honestly because of her support for animals. We really need people who care and will stand up for all minorities.
--Mrs. Kristin Hoffman, Independent
Having met Linda through Boy Scouts many years ago and watching the way she does business I feel she is the one for the job.
--Bill Gideon, Democrat
She is a fiscal conservative who seems to understand how to work with both sides of the aisle to get the job done.
--Catherine Svitek, Republican
She will represent us well and work with all others to find solutions to our issues of the day.
--Ken and Susan Bauer, Democrat and Republican
For twenty years Linda has worked for smart growth and honest government. She knows us as few in the world of politics do. She has earned our trust and votes!
--Michelle and Robert Koetke, Democrats
Linda has been an asset in our community for many years. She is pro open space and has helped make the park in the Santa Rosa Valley a reality.
--Laurel Borton, Democrat
Linda will represent all the people of Ventura County not just special interests. She is fiscally conservative and environmentally sensitive - a great combination!
--Al Adam, Republican
If anyone can get results with "both sides of the aisle" it's Linda. Her leadership is just what we need to stop the partisan nonsense.
--Ginger Pollack, Independent
I trust her to preserve our environment and quality of life. She is not influenced by big money for personal power as most others seem to be. She has the experience and proven reputation to watch out for the people's best interests.
--Marilee Ullmann, Democrat
She's dedicated to her community, honest, and willing to listen to all sides of every issue put before her without having a predictable auto response. She actually hears what her constituents have to say.
--Holly LaRue, Independent
As a longtime non-partisan voter, I support the candidate who demonstrates through their actions, not just lip service, the policies and principles that best represent the citizenry of our area and not the special interests. She is the only Congressional candidate for the 26th District who has pledged to not accept funds from either political party, special interests or PAC money. When elected she will be the only truly independent voice in the House of Representatives. Join me and the groundswell of voters in supporting Linda Parks for Congress.
--Toby Keeler
Supervisor Parks puts government to work serving citizens. Her County Supervisor's staff is professional and responsive. Linda Parks has a vision and the proven ability to turn plans into accomplishments. As an independent courted by both parties, she will be even more effective as a freshman representative.
--John Dixon, Independent
Ventura County needs a new makeover.
--Donald Bergthold
The polarization of our political system is going to destroy our country. Linda is willing to be a pioneer to try to bring an end to party politics as it currently exists.
--Julie Lindberg, Business Owner
Her proven record, in Thousand Oaks and Ventura County, on environmental and quality-of-life issues. She does not take money or perks from developers or other special-interest groups and would be a shining example of integrity in the US Congress!
--Linda Shshino-Cruz, Democrat
Throughout Linda's service on the planning commission, city council, and board of supervisors, she has maintained her personal integrity, independence, and focus on the issues that matter to her constituents. She has consistently restrained from making ad hominum attacks on her opponents; staying committed to environmental and economic sustainability. When we send her to D.C., she will set a fresh standard for personal ethics and working for the people who sent her there; not for robotically towing the party line.
--Randy Gilson, Independent
We need people in Congress like Linda who will fight for her constituents on the issues which will determine the future of our Country.
--Mel Silberberg, Democrat
Linda is a person of integrity, consistently demonstrating that to her constituents and the County. Her "no political preference" is a welcome change and suggests she will vote her beliefs and not what people may tell her to do. We wish her well and are proud to support her.
--John and Barbara Kerkhoff, Democrats
She is a genuine individual who I can trust to get the job done, as opposed to focusing on progressing herself politically or monetarily. She also is well-respected among environmental thinkers, so I presume she will do well for our nation environmentally, which is important to my core values.
--Christina Zdenek, Independent
Linda has the proven ability to muzzle the Strickland movement in the fall and, then, provide a solid, representational presence in Congress. I'm all over that and Linda's the candidate to move this down that path.
--Larry Janss, Democrat
She's the real thing - a person who will put the best for Americans ahead of party dogma and political tactics.
--Marty Kaplan, Democrat
Linda takes a pragmatic approach to situations and develops "big picture" solutions that do not pander to vested interests. We need an entire Congress-full of people like her who do what's best for the common good, not the special interests.
--Scott Tesar, Republican
Our current political system is so broken, Democrats and Republicans aren't able to even agree on the time of day. Linda Parks and the voters of Ventura County will send a message to Washington that politics as usual means a pink slip for politicians in November.
--Richard Lebeck, Democrat
Independent thinker for the people; not the party line.
--Carl Lanterman, Republican
I like her approach to problem solving; it is reasoned and directed towards helping her constituents enjoy the best possible life in Ventura County. She is not "owned" by any particular group and is not afraid to speak her mind.
--Clyde Pratt, Independent
Linda has a proven record of supporting the best interests of Ventura County and its families, regardless of political affiliation or special interests, period. She is the real deal - someone who puts family, neighbors, community, county and state first and foremost, above partisan party politics. Vote local, Vote your neighborhood, Vote Linda.
--Laura Winchester, Democrat
She has vowed to transcend divisive partisan politics, and put the needs of her grass-roots constituents ahead of special interest groups.
--Donald Rowland, Retired Dentist, Independent
If her service as County Supervisor is an indication, she will be the best Congressperson we've ever had!
--Bonnie Biddison, Democrat
I want someone who will support good ideas and bills regardless of political parties or fear of compromise and will support the protection of the environment.
--Robert Pratt, Independent

We support Linda because she is honest and knows when to compromise and when to stand strong. She thoroughly researches each issue and presents this information to everyone. And, importantly, she supports the issues that will keep, at least, our small part of the earth healthy for all living things. Hopefully, her efforts will be a powerful example of what others can do. Linda's energy, creativity, and sincerity has been an influential umbrella that has brought people together. We absolutely endorse Linda in her campaign to become Congresswoman of the 26th Congressional District.

--Timothy Pena, Repbublican
She has restored my faith in Government as an institution that works for me.
--Bob Coutts, CSUN Supervisor, Democrat
Linda is someone who will think for herself and find the best way to help the people in her district: All of them. She won't have to answer to the Democratic or Republican leadership that is having a hard time demonstrating their competency in Washington. Send a message. Vote for Linda.
--Perry Macdonald, Democrat
She is driven to do the right thing, not the expedient thing. She is capable of being what a 'people's congressperson should be.
--Judy Blades, Nurse
We need representatives who can work across the 'partisan divide' to bring about an effective, efficient, solution-oriented Congress.
--Barry Blades
Linda is a proven leader in local government and has never waivered in her commitment to sound fiscal policy, effective public services, a robust business climate, support for the disadvantaged, and stewardship of the environment. She will be an excellent representative in the U.S. Congress for the 26th District.
--Richard Shimmel, Attorney/Executive Director
For 20 years Linda has proved time and again that she listens to the people, fights for SOAR specifically, and the environment in general. She sets high standards for herself and her campaigns. Her refusal to accept special interest money has been her hallmark. She has earned our respect and our continued support. We need her voice and values in Washington.
--Michelle Koetke
The loudest voices in Congress should be those that think toward a solution not who reflect party talking points. Linda cannot be boxed into a political strategy but can be depended upon to vote her constituency and its needs.
--Elke and Ronald Block (Past Chair of the Ventu Park Fire Safe Council)
I know of no one who has done a better job on the Board of Supervisors than Linda Parks. She's a strong voice for fiscal responsibility and good management of county resources. But at the same time she never loses sight of the needs of her district. If she carries these traits to Congress she'll be an asset for not only the 26th district but the whole country as well. We need many more like Linda Parks.
--Roy Hogue, Republican
I support Linda because we need independent, practical and intelligent representation in Congress.
--Henry Bredehorst
Washington DC needs more honest and talented House members like Linda. I know that Congresswoman Linda Parks will represent the views of her constituents. She will do what is right for the Nation...not special interest groups.
--Terry Graves, Republican
Our family has witnessed Linda's tireless and consistent fight for the central, legitimate needs of our community, and her stewardship of the interests and priorities of the PEOPLE of Ventura County. Linda has consistently gotten to the facts of our issues and choices, pierced through hype and obfuscations, and made courageous choices and won and lost battles for the people of Ventura County. She is a rare jewel in a morass of political mediocrity.
--Ed Cruz
I endorse Linda because she always puts the interests of who she represents before her own and she is a hard worker with plenty of passion.
--Jim McHarg, President, Los Angeles Vietnam Veterans Alliance
Linda's voting record on the Thousand Oaks City Council and Ventura County Board of Supervisors reveals no loyalty to Corporate or Indian Band Sponsors. She appears to always hold her constituents' values and common sense above the financal gains of key political power brokers and moneyed special interests. She appears to be the honest type of individual who I want to represent me on a national level.
--Carey Leviss
Linda supports the issues my family is concerned about.
--Debbie Acton
I believe she can do as she says and represent the people of Ventura County and not any party or special interests.

--Steven Kong
She cares about the people she serves and works for our best interests.
--Marjorie Loring Gauley
I am tired of the staid two party system that has D.C. in gridlock. I am a fire breathing Democrat who first worked for George McGovern, but I will cross the aisle to bring back a UNITED States of America.
